Wow, it's 3:43 AM and I'm posting--I must be procrastinating. Something I totally forgot about: My writing group The Darling Robots is holding another reading. It's this Saturday, the 7th. We're all doing little stories around the theme of PAC MAN. It's going to be pretty cool. And, of course, I had to do something that was crazy and off the wall, and thus difficult to write. Am I ever nice to myself? No.
Yeah, so my story combines a video game reality of the 1980's with a now dead lady poet from the 1950's. The connections are totally obvious, right?
Well come check it out. It will be a party with lots of bands. I'll post the invitation, but all you really need is the website: Darling Robots.

Darling Robot presents
GHOST BOX: A WAKE FOR PAC-MAN
Video-game icon, power-pellet addict, friend, Pac-Man has chomped his way to the hearts of us all. Generally found now only in the darker reaches of our collective childhood, he paved the way for plumbing twins Mario and Luigi, Sonic the Hedgehog, Zelda and Link (possibly), and even Resident Evil (why not?).
Come celebrate one of last century's yellowest, hungriest, and most consistent entertainers as the Darling Robots share stories, anecdotes and little-known facts from his life--from the time Pac-Man heroically saved six of the rats of NIMH from a burning lab maze to his highly scandalized affair with a Coleco intern.
Featuring performances by:
The Battlecats, Gavin Kroeber, Kimmy Gatewood, Vaginity,
DJ's Peter Hale and Jason Baker
Free Admission, Cheap Booze
